And now, the unveiling of the Holy Grail of cookbooks: The Complete Keller.

BOTH volumes, The French Laundry Cookbook and Bouchon, in one slipcovered case. Packed for easy consumption. Pre-orders are available at HUGE discounts from the retail price. Guess what I’m asking my very understanding boyfriend for my birthday? ![]()

I have and adore both books. They’re fabulous! Is there any new/additional material? The French Laundry is the best restaurant I’ve ever dined at, bar none. I use Bouchon’s book a lot more though - I think I cook out of it at least once a week. The French Laundry’s cookbook is more for stuff where you and a friend have a day (or three) set aside to cook together. BTW, if you’re a cookbook junkie, Jessica’s Biscuit (ecookbooks.com is an excellent source)

Hi Connie!
I’m pretty sure that there is no additional content (according to Amazon and BN.com) but for someone who has neither book (myself included) this is THE package to get. I’ve always wanted to eat at The French Laundry but the opportunity has not as yet arisen. One day, perhaps. Btw, I love making things that take two or three days to put together. Gotta love a new project!

oh man, I’ve been dreaming of those books!! They’ll be throwing me out of the bookstores soon, because I’ve just about gone through the whole book while at the store, but never bought it. hmmm, my birthday is coming up too. I hope my hubby is as understanding as your bf

I say go for it JMom, its not that expensive, really. Not for something that has become so iconic.

I used to work at a bookstore, and I drooled over both these. I hope you get them!!
